NEW ARTWORK AT MAIN SQUEEZE
One man's trash is another man's treasure.
On Sunday afternoon while working on my interviews for J2100, I noticed the new exterior artwork at Main Squeeze. I liked the look, but I did not notice that it was broken CDs until I read the article about the artwork yesterday. I think using broken CDs and scraps of whatever you can find is a good idea for making a place look fresh.
Reusing what might be considered trash or junk, as the article puts it, just makes a lot of sense economically. It's like the saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure." Every poor college student can relate to using resourcefulness to make something work or look good. A good majority of the things decorating the walls in my dorm room and my room at home are homemade. For example, I used the back of the cardboard that came with my shelving unit to make a collage on. I cut out the pictures for the collage from old magazines.
